Development in South Fulton raises questions

I live in the Fife community in unincorporated South Fulton, and we have some very pressing development issues down here, especially a proposed 2,200-unit development by the Knight Group of townhouses and other residential and commercial, including a Lowe's.

It would be wonderful if your paper could run a story on these developments, specifically addressing the issue of all the very large businesses which have closed in this area (two movie theatres and two or three auto dealerships).

Why should anyone be tearing up undeveloped land when there is so much land which could be easily redeveloped? There is already a development of 900-plus homes going in on Oakley Industrial Boulevard and that developer is still trying to buy more land in the area. We desperately need press coverage of these issues, not to mention the closing of Duncan Park, with which we are getting no help at all from the county, state or city.
