De Leo appointed pro-life representative The Rev. Jerome De Leo of Newnan recently was appointed to represent CEC For Life by the Rev. Canon Terry Gensemer of Selma, Ala. Gensemer is the national director for the pro-life organization of the Charismatic Episcopal Church in North America. Modeled after the Roman Catholic "Priests for Life," CEC For Life sponsors essay contests, provides educational material to pastors and churches, cooperates with other groups regarding pro-life efforts, organizes and participates in meetings, and networks with other denominational pro-life departments and organizations. De Leo, who serves as a minister at Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg, has been the primary officiant at the church's weekly "Liturgy for the Pre-Born," a service that commends the souls of the 4,000 children who perish daily in America's abortion clinics. De Leo will serve as a contact person for the Diocese of Georgia. Christ the King was the first church in the United States to become an institutional member of CEC For Life.
