Faith Bible Church to offer 'raising children' classes

Faith Bible church will offer a 15-week women's study on "Raising Kids Without Raising Cain," Wednesday mornings, beginning Jan. 22. The class will be taught by Martha Peace, local author of "The Excellent Wife," "Becoming a Titus 2 Woman," and "Attitudes of a Transformed Heart." The class will meet at the home of Cindy Carson in Peachtree City. Childcare will be provided. For more information, call 770-487-3238.

Whitewater plans missions conference

Christ's Church at Whitewater will host a missions conference Wednesday, Jan. 29, beginning with a family dinner at 5:30 p.m. The conference begins at 7 p.m. Cost for the dinner is $4 per person. There is no charge for the conference. Guest speaker will be Steve Saint, son of martyred missionary, Nate Saint, who was born and raised in Ecuador. The theme of the conference is "Let's Go Fishing." The church's worship band, "Stained Glass Soul," will lead worship. Rolling Hills to present western dinner theater

Rolling Hills Baptist Church will present"The Mild, Mild West," a dinner theater performance Friday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased from the church. Proceeds from the event will go toward the upcoming Ukraine mission trip scheduled for April. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the church, 770-719-1493. Braelinn Baptist to offer Bible-based finance study

The Good Sense Ministry at Braelinn Baptist Church will present a Good Sense Budget Course Saturday, Feb. 1, at the church on Robinson Rd. in Peachtree City. The hands-on course will teach how to manage finances according to Biblical financial principles. Braelinn Baptist offers retirement strategies course

Braelinn Baptist Church will present a planning course on "Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement," each Thursday, Feb. 6 through Feb. 27, from 6:30-9 p.m. Topics covered will include investments, long-term health care, Social Security and Medicare, estate planning, lifestyle issues, pension options and, in general, a conservative approach to wise money management. Tuition is $49 in advance or $59 at the door. Paid attendees may bring spouses or a guest at no extra charge. The church is at 777 Robinson Rd., Peachtree City. North Fayette UMC concert series continues

The series of concerts at North Fayette United Methodist Church will continue in February with a concert by Angela Sattinger Sunday, Feb. 2, at 2:30 p.m. Sattinger is a former Miss Fulton County and is an accomplished soprano, singing in many styles. Some of her presentations will include songs from Broadway musicals, hymns, contemporary Christian music, and spirituals. The concert will be presented coffeehouse fashion, with the audience seated at round tables. Desserts and drinks will be available for purchase and a nursery will be provided.
