Holly Grove A.M.E. announces Black History Month activities

Holly Grove A.M.E. Church will celebrate Black History Month by hosting two events.

Dr. Carole Merritt, author of "The Herndons" and director of the Herndon House in Atlanta, will be featured at a lecture and Book signing Saturday, Feb. 1, at 10 a.m.

Janice Sikes, senior research librarian at the Auburn Research Library for African-American Culture and History, will present a lecture entitled "The Reconstruction Era in Georgia: An African-American Perspective" Saturday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m.

Both events will take place at the church, 400 Holly Grove Rd., Peachtree City.
