Fayette's new fire station on public display Jan. 18

The public is invited to attend the dedication of Fayette County's three newest fire stations at a special ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18.

The ceremony will be at the new fire station No. 5, located at Ga. Highway 85 south just north of Bernhard Road. All three stations will be open to the public for viewing from 2-4 p.m.

The other two new stations are fire station No. 7, which is located in Woolsey at the intersection of Hampton Road and Anna Lane and fire station No. 10, which is located at the intersection of Seay Road and McBride Cemetery Road between Ga. Highways 85 and 92 south.

The fire stations have several new features and were designed to be low-maintenance.
