Candy Cane Sprint results sweet for SCAT

SCAT swimmers finished first at the SCAT Candy Cane Sprint, a dual meet with the Carrollton Bluefins Dec. 21 at Kedron Pool.

"It was great to host our first meet of the season ­ and to be the winners," Head Coach Jamey Myers said. "All of our swimmers came out winners with great swims and fun times."

Swimmers with at least one first-place finish include: Beth Allaire, Nathan Bernth, Lauren Cartwright, Noah Copeland, Samantha Currenti, Bailey DeRidder, Casey DeRidder, Caroline Evans, Matthew Ferguson, MacKenzie Garrot, Julie Glass, Alex Harmon, Jessica Heimann, Matt Hildebrand, Billy Jamerson, Lindsey Lochridge, Andy Lucak, Peter Menke, Zach Payne, Joseph Redmon and Nicole Roddenbery.

Myers said the Kedron staff did a great job in making the Carrollton Bluefins feel welcome at SCAT's home pool. "This is a great pool to host a competitive event, and we're looking forward to working with the Kedron staff at our upcoming meets this season," Myers said.

"A dual meet format is fun as it really emphasizes team spirit and gives the swimmers in different age groups the chance to see their teammates compete," Myers said.
