Sandy Creek swim team sets records The Sandy Creek Patriots swim team set five school records, three state qualifing times and 27 personal records in their meet against South Forsyth, Northgate and Heritage. The boys team lost to South Forsyth, which is a highly ranked program, and defeated Northgate and Heritage, while the girls, missing several members due to illness, finished behind those teams. In their first three meets of the season, Sandy Creek has set nine school records and 73 personal records. The boys 200-yard freestyle relay team of Cliff Turner, Steven Lawson, Dru Duncan and Billy Jamerson set a new school record and qualified for the state championship. The team's time will place them in the top 10 in the early state rankings. The 400-yard freestlye relay team of Turner, Lawson, Jamerson and Mitch Lentini also set a new school record. Event winners at the meet were Jamerson, Lentini, Lawson, Duncan and Turner. Jamerson set his third individual school record of the year in the boys 50-yard freestyle. To date, Jamerson has qualified for the state championship in two individual events and remains the top ranked boy in the state in the 100 yard breast stroke. Jessica Pratt set new school records in the girls 200 yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle. She has set four individual school records this season. Swimmers recording personal best times were Vincent Bethel, Robert Collins, Duncan, Jamerson, Lentini, Lawson, Corey Little, Isaac Paine, Allen Powers, Turner, Mike White, Erin Burdette, Jessica Harper, Sara Harper, Whitney Householder, Pratt, Courtney Richardson, Kristin Smith and Shannon Smitts.
