PTC mayor
seems carried away with his new authority
I have lived in Peachtree City for the last seven years. Peachtree City was and is a wonderful, safe, amenities rich, place to raise a family.Since we arrived, a world-class tennis facilitythat has helpful and knowlegeable employees has grown into what could easily be considered one of the best facilities and staff in the South. Having played tennis since I was 8 and ranked nationally as a kid, played college and then professional tennis, we should be proud of the incredible work that Virgil Christianand the Development Authority have done for this city. Instead of praising a selfless, hard-working, Christian man for his and others hard work for the city, [Mayor Steve Brown] bullies, threatens, and has no problemdragging people through the mud for [his] own personalissues. We were pleasedwith Peachtree Citybefore Steve Brown. [brown was] elected in a runoff which by definition meansa great number of people did not think [he] was the right candidate. We did not ask [him] to spend [his] time throwing development authorities out or worrying about recreation authorities. [The mayor should] spend [his] time as the spokesman for the city promoting us instead of running us into the dirt.In a time when we need more tax revenue, why [is Brown] not pounding on corporate doors? It is the job of the development authority just like a sales department at a company. But the CEO is the biggest salesperson of the company.Instead [Brown] thinks [he] sits as king.A sign of someone with NO experience in managing people or large organizations is that when they get into power they bully and threaten.I have never seen a person speak and be quoted so often taking about "my" demands, or "I" did this, they should talk to "me." I hope the great people of this great little city will stand up and say enough is enough! Patrick Emmet Peachtree City
