Development Authority Web site is retooled The Fayette County Development Authority Board of Directors has relaunched its business service Website, www.FayetteGA.org. The site was originally launched in 2000, but was redesigned by staff member Keleigh Paino and AllTech Services of Fayette County. The site contains an expanded library of user friendly content and is divided into three categories; Adding value to your business, Start your own business and Locate in Fayette County. Included on the site is also information about the Development Authority's successful year. In FY 2002 alone, the board and staff leveraged the funding from the Fayette County Commission to create over 290 new local jobs with an estimated investment of $31.9 million. With an average salary of $47,500, FCDA spent less than $800 for every new job created. The organization's greatest impact comes from services to Existing Industry, entrepreneurs and small business. Under the leadership of chairman Randy Hayes, the board of directors set policy, determine annual goals and serve as liaisons between the business community and local government. The volunteer board leverages their individual talents by networking and building consensus to facilitate an improved business climate, diversified economic base, and stable economy that benefits each resident, government and business in Fayette County.
