Brooks UMC will present 'Images of Christmas' Dec. 22 The community is invited to attend the Christmas Cantata at Brooks United Methodist Church, "Images of Christmas," written by Ovid Young and performed by a 30-member symphony orchestra and the Brooks UMC choir, Sunday, Dec. 22, at 7 p.m. The work includes several traditional Christmas hymns and anthems, along with some original pieces by the composer. The program is under the direction of Bryan Pope, music director at Brooks UMC. The 30-member orchestra will be made up of members of the congregation as well as several students from the band and orchestra program at Mt. Zion High School, and a handful of professional musicians from throughout the metro Atlanta area. The church is at 119 Morgan Mill Rd. in Brooks. For information, call 770-719-7593 |
