The Landmark Christian School War Eagles and the Starr's Mill Panthers saw their varsity football seasons end in the second round of the state playoffs. Starr's Mill gave up 14 points in the fourth quarter to lose to Northside, Warner Robins 28-21, while Landmark fell to the Lincoln County Red Devils 21-0.

Landmark (11-1) started its game by recovering a Lincoln County fumble in the first quarter and driving the ball for five minutes. The War Eagles missed a 32-yard field goal attempt, though, and ended up finishing the first quarter in a scoreless tie.

The Red Devils scored 2 1/2 minutes into the second quarter and went into the half with a 7-0 lead. Landmark stil could not get anything going in the third quarter and five minutes into the fourth quarter found themselves trailing 14-0. The Red Devils scored one more time with just over 30 seconds left in the game to give them the win and a berth in the state quarterfinals.

Starr's Mill (9-3) had a 14-7 lead at the half thanks to two touchdowns by Chris Strauch. The lead increased to 21-14 in the third quarter after Bobby Clark punched one in for a score. Northside took over in the fourth quarter though, scoring two touchdowns and capturing the win. Northside will now face Parkview for a chance to make the semifinals in the Georgia Dome.
