Senoia 1st
Baptist to perform 'The Innkeeper' Members of the Senoia First Baptist Church will present a Christmas drama, "The Innkeeper," Saturday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. The play presents the Christmas story from the perspective of the man who had "no room at the inn." The play is the creation of Word to Life Ministries, the drama ministry of Senoia First Baptist. It currently is in nationwide publication and is available from Eldridge Publishing Company of Tallahassee, Fla. It was written by Fred Hottensen, First Baptist's drama minister, and Jim Gant of Riverdale. Jonas, the innkeeper, is described as a man struggling to survive with his family during the Roman occupation of Israel. His anger and bitterness over the loss of his only son is challenged by the events surrounding the arrival of a young couple at his already overflowing inn. The play is for all family members and is open to the public at no charge. Seating, however, is limited and early arrival is recommended. Only one showing will be offered. Senoia First Baptist is at 41 Johnson St. in Senoia. |
