Monet's Garden brings design expertise to Fayette

Monet's Garden, in The Avenue in Peachtree City, offers a complete design service for the interior as well as the exterior of any home.

Jim and Lynn Mock built the Greenery in Griffin in 1980 to provide a low-maintenance landscape design service using an interesting and educated variety of plants. Over the years, they have garnered the attention of Callaway Gardens tours, the International Rose Society, many local garden clubs, and Lee May, an author and frequent gardening and food contributor and editor for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Southern Accents magazine.

The Greenery was eventually featured in a 1999 edition of Southern Living magazine and on CBS' "Sunday Morning" program. The formal rose garden designed by The Mocks, located in Griffin, is the opening cover page for the "Ground Breakers" show on HGTV.

In 1994, after expanding their design team to include their daughter and her husband, Rebecca and Chris, The Greenery gave birth to a new division to offer a unique home accessories and design shop known as Monet's Garden. Moving on and expanding, they won many design awards, including their Monet's Garden exhibit in the 2000 Southeastern Flower Show. Monet's Garden took Planters Garden club trophy, the American Society of Landscape Architects Trophy, The Mayor's Trophy and The People's Choice.

In January of 2002 the opportunity presented itself to open Monet's Garden at The Avenue.

"It's all about service. We are completely focused on customer service," the owners said. "Through the combined talents of our design team, we offer a convenient design and shopping experience. We like to take the customer to a magical place by touching on all the senses, greeted by smiling faces, beautiful surroundings, lovely music and scrumptious fragrance."
