Local stores dress up for holidays

A number of local stores specializing in decorative items for the home are getting into the holiday spirit, transforming their showrooms in winter wonderlands and festive Christmas-colored visual delights.

Southern Traditions in Fayetteville is one of the many Fayette businesses celebrating the season in this way. Locally owned and operated by Jim McDaniel, Southern Traditions offers accessories, pictures, brass items, crystal mirrors, silk arrangements, oil paintings and fresh flower arrangements to complement any home's decor.

The public is encouraged to stop by and see the holiday decorations throughout Southern Traditions, as every room has been given a special holiday look. The shop is at 330 Jeff Davis Drive in Fayetteville, at the corner of Georgia Avenue in front of the Post Office, and is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays during the holiday season.
