World traveler
finds gem of a restaurant right here in F'ville
I saw the ad in the Citizen for the Thanksgiving meal at the Village Cafe, and it prompted me to write what I have been wanting to for nearly a year. Our family moved to Fayetteville in June of 2001 after a three-year tour in Saudi Arabia. As we settled in, we heard over and over that if you want a really good meal, you'll have to drive up into Atlanta. To our surprise, we found this gem of a restaurant right here in Fayetteville. Patrick and his staff always make us feel at home, and Kevin adds that extra quality of service that everyone looks for when they spend their money on a fine meal. As for the food, we have traveled and lived all over the world, five years in Europe, and I have never had a meal any finer than the ones I have eaten at the Village Cafe. Their steaks, seafood, and pork are excellent. The mashed potatoes taste like they were made in heaven and the rack of lamb is so excellent that this old country boy from Alabama orders it on a regular basis. Anyway, if you haven't tried this treat yet, do you palate a favor and go down to the Village Cafe for a meal fit for a king. Merci, Patrick, and you too, Susie. Chuck E. Bryant Fayetteville
