PTC has holiday door decorating contest
The Peachtree City Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a Holiday Theme Door Decorating Contest. All homes entered in the contest must be located in Peachtree City. Residents may choose one of the six categories open to competition. The categories are Winter Wonderland, Children and Toys, Traditional Holiday, Boughs & Bows, Fantastic Lights and Peace on Earth. Contest entrants must declare one of the categories at the time of registration. The exterior entry way to the home will be judged the evenings of Dec. 12 and 13. Registration is required in order to participate in the contest. A winner will be chosen in each category and a Holiday Award will be presented to all six winning households at the Dec. 19 city council meeting in City Hall at 7 p.m. A fee of $5 per entry is required. The registration deadline is Dec. 11 at 5 p.m. Winners will be announced and notified on Dec. 16. Residents may register at the Recreation Administration Building or The Gathering Place located in the Recreation Complex off McIntosh Trail, Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. or at the Kedron Fieldhouse and Aquatics Center located off N. Kedron Dr. Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday, 1-5:30 p.m. For more information call 770-631-2542 or 770-631-2525.
