CEO of Vigil Ford to speak at Clayton College The monthly meeting of the Southern Crescent chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) will be held Nov. 19 in the Harry S. Downs Center for Continuing Education on the campus of Clayton College & State University. M. Allan Vigil, president and CEO of Allan Vigil Ford, will be the main speaker on the topic of "Customer Service: Raising the Bar." Registration for the meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the program will start at 9 a.m. The meeting fee will be $20, which includes refreshments and other materials available at the meeting. Prior to becoming principal in his own dealership, Vigil worked as a field manager for the Ford Motor Company and a sales manager for two other Ford dealerships. He is a past chairman of the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Southlake Kiwanis Club and the Atlanta Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where he was named Business Person of the Year in 1996. Professionally he has also served as chairman of the Georgia Automobile Dealers Association and the Ford National Dealer Council, and a as member of the Ford Top 100 Club and the Board of Trustees of the Clayton College & State University Foundation. Clayton College & State University, "Your University" for Atlanta's "Southern Crescent," is a state university of the University System of Georgia, located in Morrow.
