Campbell Elementary PTA sets family night Nov. 19

The Campbell Elementary School PTA will officially kick off the 2002 National PTA Reflections Program at the PTA Family Night November 19th with an art exhibit and talent showcase. The theme for this year's program is "Signs of Courage."

The National PTA Reflections Program is a national arts recognition and achievement program open to students in preschool through grade 12 in areas of literature, musical composition, photography, and visual arts. Professionals in the respective arts areas will judge the works of art, and selected works will be advanced to the county, state or national levels for judging.

Now in its 33rd year, the National PTA Reflections Program attracts more than 600,000 participants from across the country. In Georgia, over 15,000 students participated statewide last year, with three being named National PTA Award Recipients.

The National PTA, founded in 1897, encourages its more than 6.5 million members to be involved in key child education and welfare issues. The organization serves as an advocate for children and families in schools, the community, and government agencies.
