County eases water restrictions

The Coweta County Water and Sewer Department is reducing water restrictions to those imposed by the state of Georgia following action by Newnan Utilities.

It has been a policy to follow water restrictions imposed by Newnan Utilities since Coweta County remains the utility's largest single water customer.

In keeping with that policy, the Coweta County Water and Sewer Department is removing increased restrictions and returning to the odd-even restrictions imposed by the State of Georgia.

Effective immediately, customers of the Coweta County Water and Sewer System will be restricted in their outdoor water use in the following manner:

Odd-numbered street addresses may water on odd-numbered days and even-numbered street addresses may water on even-numbered days between the hours of midnight and 10 a.m. and between 10 p.m. to midnight.

Coweta County thanks its water customers for their diligence and understanding as drought conditions continue in this area of the state.
