Auburn Avenue Library to host African-American deejays, author who wrote about them

Program includes discussion, book-signing

The Auburn Avenue Research Library on African-American Culture and History will host some of the historic personalities of Atlanta radio on Saturday, November 9, 2002.

The panel discussion, "A Conversation with Paul E. X. Brown, Alexander 'Alley Pat' Patrick, Willis Scruggs and Joe Walker," will be held at 4 p.m. in the Library's Heritage Education Center Auditorium, at 101 Auburn Avenue, Atlanta.

Led by author Marsha Washington George, the session will explore the experiences of Atlanta's pioneer African-American disc jockeys. George is the author of "Black Radio ... Winner Takes All: America's 1st Black DJs." She will sign copies of her book.
