Nativity to present Gospel of Mark tonight

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity will present the entire Gospel of St. Mark in a one-performer presentation by the Rev. Joseph Morris, Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. The presentation takes about 110 minutes and will include a 10-minute intermission. While there is no charge, a free-will offering will be accepted. Fayetteville's 'Pumpkin Walk' is Oct. 25, 26

Fayetteville's annual lighted "Pumpkin Walk" will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26, between 7 and 9 p.m. on the front lawn of the Fayetteville First Baptist church. Downtown parking is free, hot dogs and drinks will be free, and children will receive free glow bracelets. There will be a continuous black light show beginning at 7 p.m. The church is on Stonewall Avenue about a block east of the courthouse.

FUMC ladies schedule craft, bake sale

The United Methodist Women of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have their annual craft and bake sale Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The fair will feature multiple crafters, baked goods, bric-a-brac, used books, lunch, and coffee and doughnuts. All proceeds benefit local charities.

Brooks youth to serve breakfast Oct. 26

The youth of the Brooks United Methodist church will serve breakfast Saturday, Oct. 26, from 8-11 a.m. as a group fund raiser. The United Methodist Men will cook a deluxe country breakfast and the youth will serve. Brooks UMC is at 119 Morgan Mill Rd. in Brooks. For more information, call the church, 770-719-7593.

Support group available for sexual addiction

Men who find themselves trapped by sexual addiction, attracted to pornography or involved in risky sexual behavior are invited to meet with the Freedom Group, a support group for men who want to overcome their addiction. The weekly meetings are discreet and confidential. For information, call 770-969-6115 and leave a message.

Brooks UMC members walk for Alzheimer's

Several members of Brooks United Methodist church participated in the recent local 5K Alzheimer's Memory Walk to raise money to fight the disease. Participating from Brooks were Megan Ponzio, Robi DeMine, Charlotte Burnes, Kati DeMine, Jane Mask, Nancy Ponzio, Nancy Padovano, LeeAnne Bartlett and Baby Alex, Nina Madrid, Joanna Huddleston, Neil Langford, Diane Kennedy, Carole DeMine, Bob DeMine, Jason and Aaron Ponzio, Michael Shadle and Leslie Langford.

North Fayette preschool program has openings

The Parents' Day Out program at North Fayette United Methodist Church still has openings for children in all age groups. The program meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and is for children ages 3 months to 4 years of age. North Fayette is at 847 New Hope Rd in Fayetteville.
