Senoia United Methodist Church revival services start Sunday Fall revival services will begin at Senoia United Methodist Church this Sunday, Oct. 27, and will continue through Tuesday, Oct. 29. Services are at 7 p.m. nightly. The guest evangelist will be the Rev. Jim Moore, currently serving as senior pastor of the New Covenant United Methodist Church in Douglasville. An ordained United Methodist Church pastor, Moore has served churches across North Georgia for over thirty years, including Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Buford; Druid Hills United Methodist Church, Atlanta; Bethel United Methodist Church, Stockbridge; Rockmart First United Methodist Church, Rockmart; and Lithia Springs United Methodist Church, Lithia Springs. He is married to the former Carol Jones of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. They have three college-age children, Andy, Susan and David. Moore has been extremely active across the years in The United Methodist Church-sponsored Walk to Emmaus which originated with The Upper Room Ministries headquartered in Nashville, Tenn. His hobbies include recreational softball and power walking. The Senoia United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, with Jim Preece as organist, will present special music during each revival service. A covered-dish dinner prior to the service will be served in the fellowship hall. A nursery will be provided for all services. All persons in the community are invited to attend. Senoia UMC is on the corner of Bridge and Seavy streets in downtown Senoia. The pastor is the Rev. Steve Davidson. |
