Veggie Tales and Jonah hit the theaters this Friday

The first Veggie Tales full length movie, "Jonah a Veggie Tales Movie" will begin its run this Friday with releases all over the nation. The movie is billed as being full of great music, memorable characters and first rate computer animation, telling the familiar Bible story of Jonah and the whale, but with a few twists. Check local movie listings for dates and times.

Christian rock band ApologetiX to appear Friday

Meet and hear National Christian Rock Band ApologetiX in concert Friday, Oct. 4, at 6 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.) at "4 Nights in October" at the Frederick Brown Jr Amphitheater in Peachtree City. The event will feature a number of well known Christian artists. For more info: http://www.unight17.org. Harp's Crossing men plan breakfast Oct. 6

The men at Harp's Crossing Baptist Church will have breakfast Sunday, Oct. 6, at 8 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the church. All men of the church are invited. For more information, call the church office, 770-461-5318.

Flat Creek Baptist revival starts Sunday

Flat Creek Baptist Church will have revival services Sunday, Oct. 6 through Wednesday, Oct. 9. at the church on Flat Creek Trail. The Sunday service will begin at 6 p.m., with services Monday through Wednesday beginning at 7 p.m. The theme is "Living Under the Lordship of Christ." Nativity will have pet blessing ceremony Sunday

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity will observe the weekend of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi with the annual Blessing of Pets on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 1:30 p.m. The blessing will take place in the woods next to the sanctuary. All are welcome to come and bring any pet or farm animal to this celebration The church is at 130 Antioch Road. Whitewater Baptist plans cemetery memorial

Whitewater Baptist Church will have a memorial service in the church cemetery Sunday, Oct. 6, to honor the memory of those buried there. Members will have a covered dish dinner following the 11 a.m. service and will meet at the cemetery at 1:15 p.m. for the memorial service. The community is invited to attend, especially those who have loved ones buried in the cemetery. Whitewater is at 632 Ga. Hwy. 85 Connector, Brooks. For information, call 770-719-7520.
