Men convicted for snatching woman's wallet at PTC Kroger

Two Fulton County men were convicted Tuesday of robbery by sudden snatching for stealing a wallet from an elderly woman at the Peachtree City Kroger on Ga. Highway 74 North in March.

James Clifford Andrews, 62, of Atlanta and Alton Barker, 44, of Union City, were both convicted by a jury in Fayette County Superior Court. Their sentencing hearings will be held at a later date.

During the trial, the victim testified that one of the defendants walked in front of her cart, forcing her to slow down to avoid him, while the other reached into her purse to grab the wallet.

The wallet was later recovered in the store with none of its contents missing, the victim testified.
