PTC United Methodist hosts family psychologist for parenting sessions

Peachtree City United Methodist Church will host noted family psychologist John K. Rosemond when he presents two parenting sessions Saturday, Sept. 21. The topics are "Assuming the Power of Parenthood," from 10-11:30 a.m., and "Bringing Out the Best in Your Child," from 12:30-2 p.m.

Rosemond is the director of the Center for Affirmative Parenting in Gastonia, N.C., a national parenting resource center that provides skillshops and other educational presentations for parents and professionals who work with children and families. He has written several parenting books and is a nationally syndicated columnist in more than 175 newspapers from coast to coast. He is a featured columnist for "Traditional Parent" and "Hemisphere" magazines, and publishes his own magazine, "Traditional Parent."

Early registration for the parenting sessions is $20 per person and $30 per couple and includes a box lunch. Deadline for early registration is Friday, Sept. 20. Late registration and walk-ins are $25 per person and $35 per couple. Childcare is available for ages preschool and below with reservations.
