Lenox attacks
on Mayor Brown an embarrassment
I am appalled at the actions taken by the former mayor of Peachtree City, Bob Lenox. As you know, Mayor Steve Brown has cited himself, prepared to go before the ethics board, and publicly apologized for having his assistant (who volunteered; he did not ask her) take his 6-year-old daughter to the golf course when he had a conflict in schedule due to his mayoral responsibilities. Because of this, Mr. Lenox wants to have Mayor Brown arrested. This is the most ridiculous, idiotic and asinine thing I have ever heard of! To waste the time of those involved, not to mention the taxpayers' money, is completely out of line, and if anyone should be reprimanded for his actions, it should be Mr. Lenox! Not only does he want to have Mayor Brown arrested, he also is threatening the councilmen with lawsuits. For what, actually being honest and upholding the law? Mayor Brown and these gentlemen have more important issues to address, such as the traffic problem created by Mr. Lenox when he allowed major chain stores to build in PTC, against the wishes of his constituency. I would hope the residents of PTC would be embarrassed enough by his latest actions to ensure that neither he, nor any of his political associates, hold office in their city again. Mayor Brown and councilmen Tennant, Rapson and Weed have my full support and prayers. Edwina Bond Tyrone
