'Immature,
'60's rebel' editor has mayoral double standard
In response to the editorial last week on Peachtree City mayors, both past and present, I find it extremely hypocritical that the editor should support the unethical behavior of Steve Brown. It would appear from the past year of reading the editor's opinion of the mayor that he believes Steve Brown can do no wrong. Sarcastic statements about the previous mayor, comments about the "establishment" in Peachtree City only increase the impression of an immature, Sixties rebel with a chip on his shoulder. It is an embarrassment to Peachtree City all you need do is refer to recent articles in The Atlanta Business Chronicle, The Atlanta Journal and Constitution and Fayetteville papers to see that they find this immaturity very entertaining. Steve Brown should be judged as harshly as you have judged Bob Lenox. If that is too difficult, perhaps a more objective editor should be found, one that might want to investigate the total lack of morale among city employees since the new mayor took over the position. Or perhaps question the increasing crime rate in Peachtree City per the blotter? Or to wonder how the mayor has time to get involved in Fayetteville politics, when he can't seem to manage his personal calendar well enough to take care of his children first?
