If only more drivers had been slower, more careful

How many of you can honestly say you stayed within the formerly posted speed limit of 30 mph on Golfview? Are you one of the many who came around the curve so fast you didn't make it and slammed into a mailbox or hit a tree?

We have replaced mailboxes, resodded lawns where tire tracks left bare dirt, taken down trees that were hit, and waked up once a month with no telephone because the box had been hit again. There have been broken noses, arms, and smashed cars.

I just wanted to give you a few of the reasons why it is now 20 mph and has speed humps and stop signs. If you had just stayed within the speed limit we all could have benefited.
