AARP helping grandparents

The motto of AARP is "To Serve and Not to be Served." In light of this, our local chapter #2936 is seeking ways to help senior members of our community.

According to national statistics, many grandparents are having to raise their grandchildren. We want to be supportive of local grandparents who find themselves in this situation.

With help from Atlanta Regional Commission, we have compiled a resource directory for grandparents. We ask grandparents raising grandchildren to contact us for further information. The number is 770-461-6058.

Our local chapter meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at Heritage Bank on Jeff Davis Drive, Fayetteville. All persons 50 and older are invited to meet with us.

Frances Reeves

1st Vice President

Fayette Chapter #2936, AARP
