The
high school football season is right around the corner and the preseason
events are already starting.
Big
league signups through Aug. 24
Sign-ups are now
being taken for 16,17,18 and 19-year-olds for Big League Baseball in
the South Metro Atlanta counties, including Fayette, Coweta and Henry.
Showcase
for college prospects on Aug. 24
Top Georgia high
school baseball players (2003-2005 graduates) will have an opportunity
to improve their chances of playing collegiate baseball by attending
the Doyle Baseball 2002 College Prep Showcase on Saturday, Aug. 24 at
Southern Polytechnic University in Marietta.

Season is Heating Up
Hello
race fans! With just seven races left in the 2002 American Speed Association
(ASA) season, the battle for the championship is really heating up.
Currently we are in second in the standings, just 28 points behind ASA
veteran Gary St. Amant. We had been the point leader for the entire
season up until the last event where a problem with the car's fuel regulator
system landed us in the 21st finishing position. Despite several weeks
of unfortunate luck, I am confident we can turn it around this weekend
at Toledo (Ohio) Speedway.
