Vote Stephens, Wheat to turn Fayette into 'Gwinnett South' Make no mistake; this County Commissioner's race is all about money, power and control. Four years ago, the wheels came off the developers' gravy train when Linda Wells and Greg Dunn were elected to the Fayette County Commission. No more free ride down the rezoning highway, no more special favors. Everyone had to play by the same rules. Now all the stops are being pulled out in an effort to replace Linda and Greg. Disinformation, half-truths and lots of money spent to try and hoodwink the voters into not returning Linda and Greg to the Board of Commissioners. Don't fall for it, Fayette County voters. Do any of us want to see our county paved over, turned into "Gwinnett South"? Absolutely not! The city of Fayetteville, sadly, is already a mess, with the penchant of its "leadership" to continue the seemingly endless cycle of annexations, rezonings and overbuilding with no regard for the land use plan or its own residents. Its borders look more like the work of a hyperactive child with an Etch-A-Sketch than anything even remotely planned or designed. Is THIS 21st century planning? Linda Wells and Greg Dunn have consistently acted in the best interests of the whole county. They are head and shoulders above their opposition in their ability to lead this county over the next four years. They deserve our thanks, our support and our votes on Aug. 20.
