Wheat would cooperate, but with developers, MARTA

First, let me make a statement. I am not part of Fayette County Commission Chairman Greg Dunn's campaign. I do not know Mr. Dunn and he does not know me. All I know is what I have seen in the past.

If the issue of the week is cooperation, Mr. Wheat would definitely bring cooperation to the Fayette County Commission. He would cooperate completely with the Williams Company and do everything he could to help them bring their power plant to the northern border of Fayette County.

Also as mayor, Mr. Wheat always cooperated with the Atlanta Regional Commission. He voted for the Northern Arc and I'm sure that he would also vote for the southern portion even if they decided it should run through the southern portion of Fayette County.

Being so cooperative, I'm sure that Mr. Wheat would also completely cooperate with GRTA. He would support the Greater Regional Transportation Authority and do all that he could to enable Fayette County to be part of the mass transit system.

Of course, MARTA's plans only include running lines into Fayetteville and Peactree City. II doesn't have any plans to transport citizens within the county. Moreover, Mr. Wheat would be happy to cooperate with GRTA's plan for having high-density housing along the transit lines that they run into our county.

After all, our county commissioners don't need to control our county's zoning, and with Mr. Wheat's cooperation, GRTA could control all the zoning. They know what we need in this county better than we do.

Mr. Wheat would be very happy to cooperate with all the developers in Fayette County. Then all of Fayette County could look just like Fayetteville.

Do we really want a YES man elected to the commission?
