Tyrone church will present evening of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter tunes tonight The First Christian Church of Tyrone will host the Tara Choral Guild Wednesday, July 3, at 7:30 p.m. The guild is a group of adult volunteer singers, mostly from south side communities such as Fayette and Clayton counties. The program is entitled, "Anything Goes," and will consist primarily of Irving Berlin and Cole Porter tunes, as well as some patriotic music, such as "God Bless America." Other selections will include :Alexander's Ragtime Band," "Doin' What Comes Naturally," "White Christmas," "Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor," and "Anything You Can Do." Tickets for the performance are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $5 for children and may be purchased in advance by calling the church office, 770-969-7346. Tickets also may be purchased at the door. The church is at 294 Jenkins Rd., Tyrone.
