WalMart contributes $21,000 to local groups The Fayetteville WalMart assosiates recently presented several organizations with bonus and matching grants. The company also presented a teacher of the year grant, along with funds raised for The Children's Miracle Network. The total in donations was $21,866. The donations were raised with the help of WalMart associates and the local organization members as part of the WalMart Community Matching and Bonus Grant Programs. The organizations who received funds included; First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City. Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Starr's Mill High School. Southwest Christian Hospice. Whitewater Middle School. American Cancer Society. Sandy Creek High school. Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Safe Kids of Georgia. American Cancer Society. Quicksilver Track Club. Children's Miracle Network. Teacher of the year, Lucy Wicker. "Our Fayetteville associates were thrilled to partner with the organizations to raise funds for a worthwhile cause," said Kemp Dunaway, store manager. "The money will be utilized for programs in the local community and we are glad to support these organizations. This is just a small part of WalMart's ongoing commitment to the communities in which we operate."
