Six Flags over Georgia is best known for thrill rides like the Ninja, Mindbender, and Superman: Ultimate Flight. However, each year the amusement park hosts Atlanta Fest, a three-day festival featuring Christian bands and speakers.

This year's Atlanta Fest will feature some of the biggest acts in Contemporary Christian music as well as top-of-the-line speakers and some new additions.

A number of this year's acts were award winners at the 33rd annual Dove Awards held recently in Nashville, Tenn. Some of the headliners for the festival who were winners at the Dove Awards this year are Michael W. Smith, who was recently named Artist of the Year, and Third Day, which won Group of the Year at the Dove Awards for the second straight year. Other Dove award winners appearing at Atlanta Fest this year are Toby McKeehan, who won five Dove awards, and By the Tree, which won two Dove awards.

Though there will be over 50 artists performing throughout the four-day event, the list of headliners is impressive. Jars of Clay, a very popular act with crossover appeal will perform, as will Audio Adrenaline, Delirious, Relient K and Skillet. In addition to the music there will be praise and worship ties and talks by some of the nation's top Christian speakers including Ron Luce, Louie Giglio, David Nasser and Efrem Smith.

New to Atlanta Fest this year is the 'Prayer Labyrinth' which gives participants an opportunity to encounter God on a personal level. Each participant is given a CD player and headphones as they walk through the path of the labyrinth, located in the Carrot Club of Bugs Bunny World inside the park.

Atlanta Fest will feature a number of concerts, activities and meetings for Christians and Non-Christians to enjoy. To purchase tickets or get more information about Atlanta Fest, visit www.atlantafest.com or phone 1-800-783-8839.
