Weekend for Woodsy Women June 21-23

On the weekend of June 21, 22 and 23 Unicoi State Lodge Park will host a Woodsy Women's Weekend. The weekend is for women 18 years of age or older to experience the outdoors like never before.

Activities will begin Friday, June 21 at 5 p.m. and will end at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Women can participate in three activities by choosing from the following: Beginner Marksmanship, Intro to Fly Fishing, Fly Tying, Wilderness Survival, Beginner Archery, map and Compass, Wilderness Cooking, Canoeing, Kayaking, Ropes Course Challenge and Birding.

Registration for the weekend is $45. The fees include instruction in all classes, materials and the use of demonstration equipment. Workshop registration is limited to 60 women.

For lodging accommodations, we have reserved the Squirrel's Nest Camping Platforms and several Lodge Rooms. Lodging rates vary depending on individual preference for accommodations. Phone 706-878-3983.
