The builder's builder

In order to control some of the anxiety that comes along with buying a new home, builders often recommend that homebuyers shop as much for their builder as they will for the furniture that goes inside their new home. Consumer advocates go so far as to recommend that buyers talk to the neighbors already living in a community in order to gauge their satisfaction ratings before buying.

If you follow that advice and visit The Arbors at SummerGrove in Newnan, you will quickly learn that three of the 18 homeowners are either builders themselves or the parents of builders. "We are very proud to have the kind of quality construction that people within this industry are looking for," said community sales professional Mark Barnard. "Our high-quality standards are something that we are known for, but to have three families in the home building industry choose to live in our homes is confirmation that our commitment to quality is right on target."

Nat Angileri, Jr., is one of these builder-customers. Angileri is the owner of Progressive Home Building, a custom home building outfit that builds approximately 10 to 12 homes per year on Atlanta's south side. "Of course I wanted to build my parents' new home, but they fell in love with the Bob Adams Homes product and the sense of community found inside The Arbors. As you can imagine, I paid very close attention throughout the entire process and I am pleased to report that their home is extremely well-built. My parents couldn't be happier.

"Though I have to swallow my pride every Sunday when I visit them, The finished product is phenomenal and I would definitely recommend Bob Adams Homes to anyone looking for a new home," he continued.

Nat Angileri, Sr., spends most of his time working on his artistic talents, according to his wife Fay. "We were attracted to the brightness and openness of the Bob Adams Homes floor plans," said Fay. "This home is exactly what we were looking for and it's located within a community that we absolutely love. We feel very comfortable here and are very proud of our new home."

Retired home builder Robert Reedy and his wife Nancy moved into The Arbors in January of this year. Reedy retired from the insurance industry in 1992 and began building homes in south Fayette County in 1993. Like the Angileris, the Reedys were enthralled with the elegant, low-maintenance product that Adams builds.

"We researched several builders before selecting Bob Adams Homes," said Reedy. "We love the area and we fell in love with The Arbors. Bob Adams Homes builds a good, quality product and we haven't been disappointed."

Reggie and Pat Clay, also retired from home building, cite similar reasons for choosing Bob Adams Homes. "For us, it was time to downsize," said Reggie Clay. "We had known about Bob Adams Homes for years, knew the company had a solid reputation and we liked what we saw when we visited The Arbors.

"We were drawn to the fact that each home is low-maintenance but there's no skimping on elegance. We had such confidence in the company that we signed the contract, went to Florida and left the whole thing in their hands to complete."

"The experience of building for builders could be compared to performing surgery on a surgeon or flying a pilot across the country," said Barnard with a smile. "With so many builders out there, we are very proud to know that our standards of excellence measure up to theirs and that they felt enough confidence in Bob Adams Homes to hire us to build their new homes. I can't think of any other measure of success more gratifying than that."
