Reckless child on motorized scooter is buzzing neighbors

Parents, what were you thinking? Do you think when your young son leaves home on his motorized scooter, that he drives sensibly and carefully? Well he doesn't.

I turned the corner in my neighborhood last week and almost ran head-on into your son, who was riding his scooter like a bat out of hell up the middle of the street.

For months now I've listened to him peel up the street in the neighborhood behind me, cut through to my neighborhood on the golf cart path (a no-no) and careen past my house. It's a lot like having chainsaws orbiting my home, and this is with the windows closed.

Please parents, think responsibly for your child. He's too young to realize or care about the danger he is in and the noise pollution he creates. I'd hate for an accident to be the way you and your son learns a lesson.
