Classical Dance Theatre presents first spring recital By MICHAEL

Classical Dance Theatre's first spring recital is coming soon and fans of dance won't want to miss it. The recital, which will take place Thursday, June 6 at Creekside High School at 7:30 p.m., will feature ballet, modern, jazz and tap performances from students ages 3-adult. Tickets are $7 and may be purchased from the studio, located in Bradford Square in Fayetteville, or from any of the school's dancers. Tickets will be available at the door and there is a 10 percent discount for purchases of 10 or more tickets. Classical Dance Theatre opened in August 2001, under the direction of Yasmine Hassaan. The school offers instruction in a variety of dances, including character and freestyle dance as well as Yoga. They will hold registration Saturdays, June 1, 22, 29, July 10 and 17 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the studio. There will also be an intensive summer dance workshop held at the studio. Creative movement and introductory ballet classes will be offered June 17-28 and intermediate and advanced classes run July 8-26. The intermediate and advanced workshop concludes with an informal studio showing on Saturday, July 27 at noon. The cost of the workshops varies based on the program and number of weeks selected.
