Parents should not let small children drive carts

It concerns me that so many children are riding behind the steering wheel in their parents' laps on the cart paths. While this may seem like a treat to the child, it is very dangerous.

While the trails are safer than the highways and are fun to ride on, there is still potential for a collision. Even at a slow rate of speed, a small child could receive serious damage if they became caught between the weight of their parent and the force against the steering wheel. This has happened before in other locations.

I just hope parents will think before they give their child a "treat" and let them "drive" the cart.
