WVFJ gets its first assistant program director WVFJ Atlanta's Christian FM's program Director Jerry Williams recently announced Tiffany Thorpe as the station's first assistant program director. After recently winning Sparrow Record's Music Director of the Year Award, this promotion comes as no surprise. "Tiffany has distinguished herself as the finest music director in the industry. Her passion for our mission and commitment to excellence are without question. This is a move that is well deserved and comes at an important place in the growth of our team," Williams said. Thorpe will continue to handle music and mid-day duties along with her newrole as assistant program director. As APD she will head up several areas, including utilizing available research resources, spearheading special projects, and assisting in administrative and programming areas. Thorpe joined WVFJ-FM two years ago as music director and mid-day host. She has been in the radio industry for 11 years Since Thorpe's arrival at WVFJ in May of 2000, the station has received a Dove Nomination from the Gospel Music Association as "Station of the Year - Major Market."
