Third Thursday group heads for Warm Springs

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church's Third Thursday group, those age 55 and older or those in full retirement, will head for Warm Springs tomorrow for a day of shopping, sight-seeing and lunch. FFBC kids to present 'Fish Tales' May 19

The children of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church will present "Fish Tales," a musical of Christian faith, Sunday, May 19, at 6 p.m. in the Ministry Center. The church is at 205 Stonewall Ave. in Fayetteville. For more information, call 770-461-8378.

National Heights kids to present program May 22

Southside Baptist will have yard sale June 1

Southside Baptist Church will have a yard sale Saturday, June 1, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the church. Proceeds will go into a building fund for a new fellowship hall and Sunday school rooms. Southside Baptist is at 1332 Ga. Hwy. 92 South, Fayetteville.

FUMC plans church-wide picnic May 19

Members of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have a church-wide picnic Sunday, May 19, from 4-7 p.m. at the Clayton County Water Authority recreation area.

Bring kids to Terrific Tuesdays at Inman UMC

Inman United Methodist Church will have "Terrific Tuesdays" for children each Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until noon during the months of June and July. Parents are invited to attend with their children. Activities will include Bible stories, singing and playing. Also planned are swimming parties and a trip to the zoo. Sam Burch honored at Covenant Presbyterian

Sam Burch was recently recognized and honored for 20 years of service to Covenant Presbyterian Church as director of music. During his time at Covenant, Burch brought in musical talent from all over the country and directed the Covenant Sanctuary Choir through many cantatas and concerts. A reception was given for Burch and his family following the service.

Women at Christ Our Hope will meet May 25

National Heights plans church-wide barbecue

Members of National Heights Baptist Church will have a church-wide barbecue Sunday, May 26, at 12:15 p.m., following the morning worship service. Those planning to attend are asked to bring a dessert to share. The church will provide food and drinks. Other planned activities include kite-flying. Fayette Presbyterian youth plan pancake breakfast

The youth at Fayette Presbyterian Church will have a church-wide pancake breakfast Sunday, May 19, from 8:15-9:30 a.m. Proceeds will go to youth mission projects. Fayette Presbyterian is at 791 Forrest Ave. in Fayetteville.

First Baptist plans Missions Banquet

The Prime Timers at Inman United Methodist Church will meet at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Griffin Thursday, May 30, at 5:30 p.m. Reservations must be made by Monday, May 27 with Ann McBerry, 770-461-1103. Prime Timers is a group for persons 55 and older.

McDonough Road youth plan yard sale May 18
