Unity Christian celebrates first anniversary Sunday

A special worship service and day of fellowship will mark the first anniversary of Unity Christian Church this Sunday, May 19, at 2 p.m. The service will be held at the Abundant Life Worship Center north of Tyrone on Ga. Hwy. 74.

"We are inviting members of the Fayette and South Fulton communities to come and enjoy the anointed singing and to experience the life-changing Word of God that will be shared on that day," said Senior Pastor Smith A. Atwater.

"The name of the church, 'Unity' Christian Church. describes the Lord's mission for this body of born-again believers, which is to promote 'unity' among Christians without regard to race, creed, color, ethnicity, or denomination," Atwater said. "We express our appreciation to Pastor Calvin Smith and the Abundant Life Church family for opening the doors of their church to Unity during the past year.

Unity's worship services are held each Sunday at 2 p.m. The church also holds Bible study classes, each Thursday evening.

"I especially thank God for his leading and guidance during the past year," Atwater said. "The journey may not always be an easy one but there is never any doubt where the journey will end. There is a reward waiting for those of us that endure to the end."
