Students capture state career awards McIntosh High School Graphic Arts students have returned from state competition with medals in four contests. The students, who are members of Skills USA-VICA, a technical/career student club, competed at the organization's state conference and competition held recently in Atlanta. Placing first in Promotional Bulletin Board was a team of three students, Michael Amosu, Shawn Tupper, and Whitney Hanlon. This is the third consecutive year that McIntosh has taken the gold in this contest. Ankia DuPreez placed first in photography. DuPreez submitted a black and white print for judging as well as slides, set up photo shoots, took a written test, and competed in a variety of other technical photography skills during the contest. David Briggs placed second in Advertising Design. Also placing second was Michael Amosu in the Skills USA-VICA pin design contest. This is the third consecutive year that Amosu has placed in this contest.
