PTC Flash has some top finishers at state meet

The PTC Flash track team finished its season strong, with 31 athletes competing for the State Track Championships.

Friday night's activities were cancelled just as they were about to begin the first race. The tornado warning sirens went off and over 1,000 people were told to go to their cars and wait for the storm to pass. It started to rain and then hail. The hail grew to golf ball size and hundreds of cars were damaged but no one was physically hurt.

The race committee combined both days races and events in to one long day Saturday. Austin Vorwald and Ryshell Williams are new State Champions in the High Jump and 400M respectively as well as the 8U Girls 4x400 Relay Team of Haley Smith, Ryshell Williams, Gabby Seiler and Kita Savuri. The Flash Team scored 3 firsts, 3 seconds and 8 third place finishes.
