Many oppose agenda of militant gays Kudos and many thanks to you for your editorial column, "Of all the '-phobes' I am" in last Wednesday's paper! You articulated so well my personal views and opinions. Thank you for taking this bold stand and opening this topic up for debate. I will be following closely the responses. I dare say that there are many individuals, who I call the silent majority, that feel the way you and I do about the militant homosexual agenda, [but who], however, are afraid to take a stand for fear of ridicule and rejection. I admire your leadership you bring to our local paper and for making it easier for citizens to disagree with the homosexual agenda. I find it interesting that the two letters that accused The Fayette Citizen of having an "anti-gay" agenda were written in response to Bill Maier's column which simply encouraged readers to consider other issues in homosexual adoptions. Just because your newspaper sought to present both sides of the issue makes it a newspaper with an "anti-gay agenda"?! I hardly think so. Thank you for giving the citizens of Fayette County the "other" side of the issue to think about. I appreciate your work and will be praying for you as the topic is discussed in the paper.
