Talkin' trash

Ever experience pangs of guilt as you pinch empty aluminum cans or toss yesterday's newspapers into the trash? Perhaps you want to do the right thing to preserve our planet but just don't know where to take recyclables or who takes what. Help is now at hand by means of your computer.

The Fayette County Extension Service now has a recycling menu that informs its citizens about where to go with recyclables. By clicking onto "material to be recycled" selection from menu, a listing of recycling businesses pops onto the screen to tell you who takes what, where and when you can drop off recyclables. One even pays cash to pocket for hauling in your trash.

The Fayette County Extension Service Web site is www.admin.co.fayette.ga.us/extension. From there, click onto recycling link and select recycled material or go to the main Fayette County Web site and select "recycling" from quick links or main body.
