Our
choices affect not only us, but also those who come after us

Day is coming up in a day or two and will pass unnoticed in most of
the country and in much of the South. However, the occasion causes me
to think about choices and the effect they have on people and on the
generations to come. I have heard it said that we are the sum of our
choices but I would modify that and say that we are the sum of our choices
and the choices of those who have come before us.
