McIntosh tennis teams ready for region and Buckhead Rotary tournaments By MICHAEL

Last week, Starr's Mill and McIntosh's boys and girls tennis teams faced off against each other. McIntosh's two teams emerged as the victors, winning both matches 5-0. For the boys, B.J James defeated John Esterline, 10-2, while Phil Van Fossan defeated Eric Jackson, 10-3 and Stefan James defeated Brian O'Keefe, 10-3. In doubles play Justin Hale and Robert Lochridge beat Chad Newton and Drew Evans, 10-4, while Osman Farqui and Francois Pienaar defeated Patrcik Davis and Adam Esterline, 10-6. In girls play, Priscilla Roberts edged out Jenny Shular, 11-9, while Rebecca Timmis defeated Shayna Simms, 10-5 and Denise Daughenbaugh beat Gabby Acuna, 10-1. In doubles play, Adriane Hodges and Lauren Wilde beat Lisa Gentilini and Lauren Dillon, 8-1 and Shelby Carlson and Sunya Sweeney defeated Jana Ritter and Sarah Hall, 10-0. Region play begins today at Glenloch in Peachtree City at 4 p.m. McIntosh will be playing in the Buckhead Rotary Tournament this Friday and Saturday. The boys and girls teams will face top team s from Georgia such as Marist, Walton, Wsetminster and Woodward Academy as well as teams like Montgomery Bell Academy from Chatanooga, Tenn.
