Touch a Truck returns to Peachtree City

What's the biggest thing to happen in Peachtree City in a year? The second annual "Touch A Truck" is coming. The Peachtree City Recreation Department is sponsoring this event for kids of all ages to come and see, touch and generally be around big rigs of all kinds.

This Saturday (rain or shine), from 10 a.m. to 1p.m., we invite you to come to Shakerag Knoll (off McIntosh Trail at the Amphitheater parking lot) to see all kinds of motor equipment. There will be a semi-tractor trailer, a dump truck, a street sweeper, rubber tire loader, tractor, asphalt roller, concrete truck, military vehicles, police & fire vehicles and many, many more. Bring your boys and girls to see up close and personal these items that we see around town but would like to view in our neighborhood.

"What could be a better opportunity for pictures to be taken of your little boys and girls (or big boys and girls) on or around these huge vehicles," said Susan Taylor, event coordinator. "Georgia Operation Lifesaver will be with us again this year."

This event has been held by other recreation departments around the state and has been very successful. For more information, please call us 770-631-2542.
